I'm not an expert but I will stay on the side. AUD/USD is close to the fresh high that's why there is still space on EUR/AUD to go down.
but this is only my thought

Interesting point roberr, and you are probably correct. However in my opinion, it seems that this area has been a significant area of support/resistance historically for the AUS/USD.

Cheers

Inemesit there haven't been any decent trading opportunities in the past few days really. October's been kind of slow. We'll see what November brings.

Hi Ash I am looking forward to your next signal call because that will be my first trade. I have been reading and following your tread and system I now have to experience it. I hope the next set up is low risk. Thank you for what you do.

My signals are once a month, as explained here:

http://www.forexmoments.com/freesignals.php

They've got nothing to do with this system.

Maybe the sharp drop in the GBP will shake something out.

To close partial lots in MT4, for example you have bought 1 lot, and now you want to close half of the lot, then all you do is right-click on your trade, click "close order", then change the lot size to half, (0.5), and then click on close at the bottom.

As far as I can see got some potentials lining up on EUR/USD, USD/CHF, AUD/USD & NZD/USD would be good to hear some thoughts and ideas for reasons for taking or not taking these trades (at close of play today). Anyone got any comments? or anything else they can see lining up??

The AUD/USD looks like the best one. The EUR/USD's and the USD/CHF candles are too long. The NZD/USD just doesn't look good, stochs are choppy, the price action has been choppy as well for a long time, the last 5 sell signals have reversed pretty quickly. Lets see what Ash thinks. :)

The EUR/USD has a massive Gartley W confirming a short position and it's been in place for a day or two now. It's the only one confirmed by Gartley, but it is a long candle.

Default AshFX V2 Daily Setups : 26 Oct 09

Ok, so today we have 4 setups on the AshFX V2 System:

- SELL EUR/USD
- SELL AUD/USD
- SELL NZD/USD
- BUY USD/CHF

For the EUR/USD, the candle is too long, plus it's basically just bounced off the 38.2 Fib line, so a bit of a risky setup.

The AUD/USD looks like a good setup, the candle isn't too long, the Stochs look smooth, and the upper wick is longer than the lower wick. I'll be entering this.

The NZD/USD looks OK, not as good as the AUD/USD, but still worthwhile taking it in my opinion. Upper wick is longer than lower wick - good bearish sign.

The USD/CHF would have been a good setup had it not been for the long candle!

Hi Ash,

Quick question, sorry if this is an easy one but how come on your attached charts a new candle stick has formed when on mine it won't form until 11.00pm?

Many thanks if you can help and for your tradings suggestions.

Hello AshFx

thanx for your posting

I've been studying your system today,I've checked out some technical outlook from actionforex.com,then I've entered by myself the following positions,BEFORE seeing your post:

USDCHF LONG 1.0185 S\L 1.0074 T\P 1.0185
EURUSD SELL 1.4874 S\L 1.5052 T\P 1.4683
AUDUSD SELL 0.9156 S\L TO SET AND T\P NOT FIXED YET
NZDUSD SELL 0.7461 S\L TO SET

I'm not a newbie,and I'm not a gambler

Some risks on the first two trades, wish me luck!

(even if we both know Forex has nothing to do with luck)

whoops! I did it again...

According to the system this is your exit:
If the day, or any consequent day, has closed in your direction (i.e. you’re in profit at the end of any given
day), then close half your position & move SL to break even. Close the other half once either the AO or
PSAR turns the opposite colour/direction. Only exit at the candle close
.

According to the rules I believe the SL should be above the previous high, or about .7640 area.

Cheers,
MIke.

Ok people,

There was a SELL signal on AUD/JPY today. Despite the fact that both the upper and lower wicks are equally as long as each other (which indicates indecision), it still looks like a decent setup to enter, (primarily due to the smooth Stochs, and helped by the similarities shown in the AUD/USD short).

Mike is right.

Swiss, you should have set your SL at the swing high, as is stated in the official rules in the PDF. You wouldn't have been stopped out, and you would be in guaranteed profit by now.

Don't worry about it, we all make mistakes. It's how everyone learns - experience.

Hi Ash

Nice signals, all in profit I think. I only took Aus and Eur (after the pullback) and both doing very nicely.

I got to admit it, as far as any trading system goes, particularly longer time frames trades, this system has to be very close to best.

So far in my short trading life, I have not been able to make profits on short time frames trading, as a matter of fact I keep losing. However, I make profit on this system.

So, have decided to only trade long time frames (it makes sense in my mind).

Sorry about the rant Ash...lol....and once again thanks for the system (free) and education (also free)!!

Cheers mate

Default aud/usd, aud/jpy

hello again people,

well im in heaven at the moment.:D
of the signals we received this week i only took the 2 above

aud/usd short
got in late on the candle following the signal and ended up going short @ .91481, set my SL @ the weekly pivot instead of the swing high because i was thinking that this might be just a correction from the up trend and not a trend reversal. i didnt want to find out the hard way by throwing away pips.
i set the TP @ the weekly S1 again thinking this wasnt going far and i might as well get what i can and get out before it bounced off the support and turned north again.
got home from work to find the TP was hit and banked 33 pips. which with hindsight shows i left a lot on the table.

aud/jpy short
got in on the open of the next candle after the signal @ 84.097 and set my SL @ the swing high which wasnt far away. didnt place a TP (dont know why) and got home from work to find the trade up 220 pips. so i quickly moved SL to +170 pips then added a TS of 35 pips made a coffee and watched as it went to +270 pips (and wondering whats goin on). then it came to an end when it retaced a little and hit the TS for a profit of 248 pips in the bank.
so thats made my day after a dry spell lately with ASH's system.

and the eurcad tippoff that ASH gave us was a dead set beauty.
thanks ASH for that one
i got in @ 1.53120 and chickened out @ 1.53944. banking 82 pips. but as i see it at the moment i left a whopping 500+ behind.
oh well i hope some of you are still riding that one.

anyway again i gotta thank ASH and the rest of the crowd for the help and advice ive picked up here.;)

cheers from sunny brisbane

If you have a look at page 26 of this thread, Swingman very kindly offered a dashboard you can add to MT4 which will summarise the standing of 19 pairs and alert you to potential trades on 3 timeframes. I set it up this morning and it's very helpful. If you're out there Swingman, thanks.

Since first posted this, I've found a more recent version, v5.
