I downloaded Skype and when i click the link posted here the window in Skype says "this service is not available in the latest version of Skype for Window's".

I think the latest version of Skype i.e. V4 would not have this public chat service available.

You may have to revert to the older Skype versions :

Actually I was pretty curious why not many Ash fans are joining because on other public chat like one I used to join - the Cyrox was abuzz with chat and learning and exchanging of ideas.

Perhaps those who wish to join the public chat can revert to the older Skype. I have not use Skype v4 so I do not know what are the advantages of the newer version.

Hi All:

One member found a way around Skype 4 which many of you have and are therefore unable to get to the Public Chat as this feature is unavailable to Skype 4 beta users at the moment.

However, what you can do is this:

1) Go download the older Skype v3.8 (Old Version of Skype Download)
2) Install v3.8
3) Join ASHFX Chat - Join Public Chat. When you are in the Skype ASHFX chat;
4) Download Skype 4
5) Install Skype 4
