There is some talk that US bases in Syria and nearby have been attacked

There are reports of some big explosions and/or drone attacks at US bases in the Middle East in Iraq and Syria. One of the spots said to be hit is the Al-Tanf base in Syria near the Iraq border.

Be careful with these headlines and rumors but they're out there right now. There are photos of large explosions but those are impossible to verify.

Meanwhile, the rumours that Putin had a heart attack last night are also continuing to do the rounds.

Update: The three bases rumored to be attacked are:

• Al-Omar (Dir al-Zor)
• Al-Tanf (the border between Syria and Iraq)
• Al-Shadadi (Al-Hasqa, Northeastern Syria)

Update 2: One of the photos showing the 'attack' is an old one, so I'm increasingly skeptical of these attack claims.
