Is spread Important?

To make great profits with great consistency, the traders first have to ensure the lowest trading spreads, which is very supportive of predicting the real trend of this market. Actually compared with Hotforex Premium account, spreads in your broker seem to be higher on average.

Spreads affect the trading profits so most of the reputed brokers like hfm, octa, fxpro, lmfx etc offers tight competitive spreads which also helps in taking scalps and making profits in short term trading.

I learned the hard way with that spread is the first cost - especially for scalps. I avoid entries around rollover or major releases and test my broker’s (HFM) typical spread during my trading hours before I trust any strategy

For scalpers and day traders, even a 1–2 pip difference can really impact profitability over time. Wider spreads also make it harder to hit small profit targets. On the other hand, swing traders may not feel it as much.

Spread matters, but total cost = spread + commission + slippage, and it blows up around rollover/illiquid hours. In my scalping tests with HFM, late-NY then Asia can see big widening, so execution quality and typical session spread beat chasing 0.1–0.2 pip differences.
