Default What is Best Time to Trade Forex?

Dears, I'm newbie but a little bit knowledge about Forex, but share some readable knowledge base here.

Here I'm going have a look about great periods of the year and better days of week to trade forex. The foreign exchange market is open 24 hours to 5 ½ (Sunday) day each week, throughout the year around. But certain times when it is more appealing for trade.

1. Best Months to Trade Forex

The worst months for trade are undoubtedly the summer months of June (latter half), July and whole of August. A lot institutional traders in Europe & North America are on holiday which translates to a lower overall trading activity, trading volume depletion and smaller changes in currency pairs. Whether the trade in during the summer months, you will have to keep in mind that prices will narrow range for a long time and be quite unpredictable. From September - usually after Labor Day in the U.S. - Business activity returns to take as traders back to their desks. Then, to the top three months of follow up where the volume is again dried during the second half of December as traders take widespread Xmas holiday. From January to May is also great to trading, since normally controls good swings during these months. As be very careful during the summer and during the latter half of December. I usually work in "normal" conditions may not functional during these months of low volatility.

2. Best Days to Trade Forex

While the foreign exchange market and opens on Sunday afternoon Central European Time (On Monday morning in New Zealand and Sydney) are not recommended to start your week on Sunday as trades. Unless you have important news about the weekend there will be lots to do as volumes and volatility are usually at an end of down Sunday night.

Monday may also be extremely hard to trade as many traders - particularly in Europe - waiting for economic news and economic data before starting new positions. Monday trading ranges are generally smaller on average as compared to other days of week. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are regarded as better days of the week for the Forex market. The three are the days they receive the most action. Whether you want to operate only three days a week and move rest of week on beach should choose these three days.

First half of the Friday is also pretty decent for trade, but please note that the volumes are dried in the latter midday as traders head for the weekends. Also note that on Friday trends that have survived during the week you can invest on Friday as traders shut their positions to prevent the risk of weekend. You must take special care on the first Friday of every month, as this is the day the non-farm payrolls from the U.S. must. This information typically leads to erratic fluctuations in the main currency pairs, especially pairs related dollar.

If there is a feast day in over a major financial center as Easter Monday or Christmas also generally witnessed a depletion of the volumes and the often erratic changes. Take special care on these important holidays as the majority of the large traders are away from their desks. If you will avoid these days of low volatility usually drops the potential frustration and increase performance.
