The AshFX Daily System (Version 1)

Is the new Version 2 meant to take the place of this Version 1 system?--or are we supposed to learn/use them both? Is the main difference between the 2 that the Stoch is not supposed to be below/above 50 (one V1), but all the way to 20/80 on V2?

Yep, V2 replaces V1.

About 8hr charts, I have no clue since none of my broker platforms supports 8h-charts. Maybe that´s the problem but really have no idea..

I had a play with this.
It seems that each time the platform is closed, the 1Hr chart loses the info it got from the period script.
You have to re-enter it each time you start the platform.
Drag the script onto the 1Hr chart.
Set the number to 8.
The 8Hr chart will now update itself after a new tick comes in.

See if it works for you.

I have not tried this period converter indie but the author is claiming many miraculous features for it.
It may be worth a look.

other than the rules Ash defines in this system, here is what i changed

H4 chart
Do not take 2nd strength trades
Trail your 2nd half stop by 30 pips or so

just curious as to why the PSAR settings in this ver 1 are at .03 and in the ver 2 it is set at .05.
i ask as i am getting totally different readings for the 2 systems when im comparing systems when looking for an entry.

Looking at the Daily chart of the AUD/USD and it looks like the indicators are all in alignment.

Am going to wait until the candle closes for the day and see what happens but it would be great if you could confirm the validity of the signal.

Yes, it is a valid-Signal for me too. I took the same Trade:

I enter with 5 Positions a 5000 Units. The First Position has a TP for 25 Pips (was execute in the morning), the 2nd Position has a TP with 50 Pips the 3rd with 75 Pips and the 4th Position with 100 Pips the last Position has no TP, it is closed by the rules.

Now, all the Positions are -9, -10 Pips. It is the same result like in the morning. not a good sign....

by the way: last week i was winning +568 Pips with the strategy...:D

The AUD/USD Trade was a completly Loss for me.

no problem, the next strike will come soon.

maybe EUR/GBP, because there is a daily AND a weekly Signal for me....

Please, I would like to know the trading platform you are using, H8 timeframe should look good for this system.

First, you are no more stupid than the rest of us.
We were all at the newbie stage at one time.
You will learn to blow your account in no time at all just as we all did.:rolleyes:

The candles each represent a period of time depending on which Time Frame you are using.

Each could represent one minute or five minutes etc all the way up to one month.

They show what happened to the price during each relevant time period.
You can change the colour of the candle bodies to make them clearer to understand.

One colour, usually green, shows price going up.
The other colour, usually red, shows the price going down.
