![]() This platform is good with a load of indicators. The minumum deposit is £1700.
At times the news ticker sticks and I've had problems getting onto the platform with the longest delay being 6 hours. They do give you ways around it and told me its my firewall which I think is a standard reply despite it not being my firewall. The platform can take a while to load and changing time frames on a chart isn't nearly as fast as with MT4. I also find the indicator colours disappear when changing from one time frame to another. I've also had the platform give me a fatal error when trying to change time frames especially when I try to go to the 1m chart. You can only get a demo account if you open an account. They have a limited time to use their demo if you dont open a live account. I'd not recommend it for new traders. However once you are familiar with the platform you'll love it. |

![]() I have used GFTs DealBook for the last couple of years... for their charting only. I removed all but $1K and use it to essentially test out new trading idea so at least a little money is on the table to keep me honest.
The Good:
The Bad:
All in all, if you are a looking for an appealing charting package they are it... if you can deal with not having all of the snazzy indicators that MT4 offers... GFT is OK, but if you are a short-term trader (scalper) you might be served going with an ECN. |

![]() I've only had a GFT account about 4 months now, but am reasonably impressed by their range of FX pairs, spreads, and fills during news events. I'm very impressed by their tech support staff, with whom I've spent hours by phone and e-mail attempting to overcome the shortcomings of Dealbook, the GFT platform.
I can't count the number of times I've called / texted tech support (at all hours, they are knowledgeable and friendly) to complain about some Dealbook quirk, only to be told, "Yeah, we know about that one and the coders are working on it." It's the only platform I've tried that doesn't play well with others. It can't recover from even a minor internet interruption. Orders displayed on the chart are difficult to modify by drag and drop (a critical problem for me). It takes too many mouse clicks (sometimes even typing) to enter / modify an order. It's a shame that such a great company doesn't place more emphasis on having a bomb-proof platform. |
